25 Quarter of a century today.. 8-6-08
Quarter of a century today... these last few years have gone by so quickly thats its crazy to think that just ten years ago I was 15. I'm 25 today and I can honestly say, I have been dreading it. I haven't done enough in my life to be this old already... well hopefully this year I can get more accomplished. Today was a good day. I got up and went to a Chamber of Commerce meeting, it was really good, the information on the cruise industry here in Alaska was pretty neat. After the meeting my sisters Kristy and Debbie took me to a movie in Anchorage S.T.P.2 it was good we laughed and teared up throughout the movie. I haven't had to spend any money today : )*grins* After the movie we went to Key's house and hung out, I ate one of Deb's concussions of cheese cake and oreo crust cup cake. ( it wasn't bad) I came home and found a really cool card from Laura. ( I might record it on vid and post it sometime... it made me laugh for sometime. I got an awesome little water/light fountain. It looks great my mom wants one for her treatment room (she wants it for her b-day in a couple weeks) lol. I look and also find a Miley Cyrus cd... sweet!!!..... I've listened to it three times now! I really like most of her music. I don't have alot going on today so I'm at my friend Michelle's house babysitting. * not really cause he is a sleep* but i'm here non the less.
The last few weeks we have had people visiting. Brian (my old boss at Target) came to AK from PA on the 16th of July and left on the 23rd. We took him all the way to Holmer and then to Whittier and, Keni. Dad actually drove us from Keni *where his work was at the time* to Holmer. We didn't do much there but we did get ice-cream from a local shop on the Holmer Spit. All in all it was a fantastic trip. I had to bring along my 4 dogs... * that wasn't fun* We camped in Seward, *well kinda, we couldn't find a place to set up tent and it was already midnight when we got there so we camped in the van. Laura and Brian camped under the stars, while me, mom, and deb stayed in the van. * needless to say i didn't go to sleep, it was all to uncomfortable* I finished alot of my boring book though. lol. We went and hiked the Exit Glacier trail, that was fun. It's really to bad that you can't get close enough to touch it anymore. We went four-wheeling at Jim Creek, the trails were so ruff!! I haven't seen a trail so bad in all my years of 4x4.... we were headed back when the four-wheeler trailer bracket busted! I tried to catch us *me and Laura* but I guess I wasn't fast enough. the trailer folded right into the back of the four wheeler! well that wouldn't have been so bad if my right arm hadn't been caught. I got it squished between the rack and the trailer edge... ouch!!!! it is fine now but it sure left a rather large pretty bruise. I had clients at grooming freak out!!! lol it was kinda humorous to tell them it was done while four wheeling. Thats about all we got to do this visit. Kathryn and Karen came on July 30th and the 1st of Aug. Brittany's wedding was the 2nd! it was really really nice.. we had a blast there.. it was one of the funnest weddings I have been to in a long time. Mom took Karen and Kathryn to Seward and the Butte. * they said they had a wonderful time here, it sure went fast.
I am going to give my two weeks notice for the Spa. I am so tired of them.... they never get my days of work right and they messed up my pay!! argg I can do without them.... I'm going to try and work for somebody in Eagle River. Grooming has been going good. nothing really exciting to talk about.
Echoa's pup's are now over 8 weeks old. They went to the vet and he said they were very healthy, and that they were exceptionally friendly and sweet. * that was nice to hear, considering I have never met this vet before* (he's new to the office).Mom is not going to keep a pup this time, I don't think it would be wise to keep a pup with so much cream color if i plan to breed her. I'll miss her but I think it is for the best. my AKC papers should be here soon! I have one buyer for a pup Italy, she has already given her deposit too. I'm going to advertise the rest of them as soon as I get the AKC papers.
Clogging has been going ok, Deb, Kristy and I have been practice alot. Amanda and I went shopping when she was here last and got new performance shirt material. Deb, Key, and I cut out our own patterns the other day, so all we have left to do is the twins and Amanda.
Its been over cast for weeks now! its been rainy most days too! Today was our first day here that was sunny and over 65.
hmm I don't think there is any other news, oh we did get 5 loads of top soil from my sisters boss.. I'm not sure if it was worth it though. Dad spent days cleaning it all up, he is still in bad shape. He never complains about the pain but u can sure see it written all over his face. I haven't helped him with any projects since he has been back this time. for one he has been doing the driveway cleaning at the Dr. house. and hasn't had time to do anything here. He has re done all the rotten porch railing and stairs.
well thats all for now I hope everybody had a good of day as I did. Love to All ~Take Care and god Bless ~Julie~
