10-10-07 over one year and counting!

It's hard to believe that we left Alaska one year ago the 8th. So much has happened that its crazy to even think back. School is going well, we still haven't gotten our final grade from last quarter. gurrr..... I want to know!!!
Work is going ok... we were backed up in the backroom for backstock and also floor push for over 2 weeks but Laura, Debbie, Malcolm, Brian and I stayed 12 hours at work and got it ALL finished. I guess at the store huddle the Alaska Girls were given a clapping ovation for staying late and getting all the work done... There was an unsightly amount, you couldn't move anywhere and there was no tub's or flats to pull items form the back to take to the floor. I was honestly shocked we were able to get it all done! there was so much softlines (clothes and shoes) that even the fire exit's were covered! * which is a HUGE NO NO in our store* (we kinda got yelled at by the safety team, Malcolm took care of that problem as fast as he could 4 hours it took him) Brian is officially our new backroom team lead, I'm glad it was him! Brian rocks.... Its still kinda weird not having Travis there.
OH good news! we all got a raise today! our boss Gary has been working with HR and telling them that Target needed a more completive pay rate. we are all making 9 dollars an hour for our early morning rate and 8 dollars an hour for our normal work hours. WEEEEEE it sucks that we aren't getting this pay for very long ... we leave in 74 days. The new pay starts Oct 14th.
Saturday Debbie and I went to Brian's and helped him dig and place 2 deck post for his new LARGE deck. Its going to be awesome!it took us 4 hours ( we went after work ) The temp was 85 that day so it was a bit miserable to be digging and carrying post... it was fun though. I'm glad we were able to help somebody for a change.
The pets are doing good, not much really going on with them.
Reflecting school from the last 9 months is interesting. I went from knowing nothing to having to my brain overflowing with knowledge. I just have to learn how to put it to use. The 1st quarter was a killer and I thought everything I learned wouldn't hold but I have been shown different... I have actually retained a lot of things and actually make use of them when I treat people. Any time somebody gets off my treatment table and tell me their pain is completely gone, I still get a thrill outa patients getting well by my work.
I think that the 2nd and 3rd quarter flew by and I'm glad that it wasn't over my head like the first one. I think that when graduation comes around in 74 days I will be ready. I'm so happy to be going home soon. We are going to See The Bushee family in December, in North Dakota at Scott's family's place. I don't think I'll get to see dad though :( not till Jan.
Ahh what else... hmm I can't remember what else I wanted to add to this blog so ya... ok thats all for now.. Love to All Dream Sweet ~Julie Ann~
